Founded in 2018, Trade4SDGs is an independent, time-bound, non-profit initiative based in Geneva, Switzerland. The goal of the initiative is to advance the SDGs through trade- and investment-related policymaking.

 

Trade and investment can serve as powerful drivers for achieving the SDGs if those engaged in negotiations and in practice incorporate emerging knowledge on economic, environmental, and social issues. In doing so, they are empowered to better understand their own interests, build bridges to others, and advance mutually acceptable solutions in an integrative way.

 

Our vision is the achievement of the SDGs by 2030 and the crafting of a suitable follow-up to the SDGs, supported by national, regional, and international trade policy and frameworks.
